The app can’t find my TV.
Nine times out of ten the phone and TV are on different networks — guest WiFi, a -5G band with a different name, or a VPN on the phone. Run the same-network checklist.
My Roku shows up but ignores every press. Your Roku has “Control by mobile apps” disabled. On the Roku: Settings → System → Advanced system settings → Control by mobile apps → Network access → Default. Details.
Volume buttons are greyed out on my Fire Stick. That’s a platform limitation, not a bug — Amazon’s network protocol has no volume command for sticks and cubes, in any app. The honest explanation and workarounds.
My Samsung TV asks me to Allow but I lost the remote. Every Samsung has a hidden physical button that can press Allow — where to find it, plus other ways.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are handled by Apple: open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Remote Pro. For refunds, use Apple’s Report a Problem.
Does the app work away from home? It controls TVs on whatever network your phone is on — home WiFi, or a hotspot you create. What works without WiFi.
